Dark circles and under-eye bags. We’ve all had them at some point. And we’ve all tried to cover them up. These are one some of the hardest things to cover in the world – but fortunately are a lot of tricks to hide dark circles and under-eye bags.
These beauty problems tend to be worse in the morning, but you don’t need to cross your fingers and hope they clear up on their own.
If you girls have the same problem as me, I’ve got all of the makeup tricks to hide those pesky dark circles.
Take a look below!
Choose the best concealer
The right shade of concealer is very, very important, girls! You don’t want to get a concealer that isn’t going to work with your skin tone, and that could look bad! So make sure that you take a look at a bunch of different concealers and find one that will look great on your skin. When choosing a concealer, go for a shade that is 1-2 shades darker than your skin colour. It’s essential to pick a darker shade, so it actually hides your dark circles.
For me, the best concealer that covers dark circles and under-eye bags is MAC Pro Conceal and Correct Palette. A palette with four concealers and two corrector shades to match any skin tone. Enriched with antioxidants and suited for all skin types, they can be used individually or combined to match any skin tone.
There are four variants of this palette available, covering a vast range of skin tones – Light, Medium, Medium Deep, and Dark. I have picked the “Medium Deep”, and it works for me perfectly.
This product it can cover everything! It is versatile, blends easily, and stays put all day. And, also, I like that now we have the chance to get a MAC Pro Conceal and Correct Palette for free. With this initiative, the brand wants to convince women that this product is the best. I agree with it, and I am very pleased with the product, that’s why I recommend you to try it.
Don’t lose the opportunity to get one sample only this week. Last time I checked there was only 50 in stock. So, hurry up. Trust me; this product does wonders.
Don’t just apply concealer to your under eye
Another makeup trick to hide dark circles and under-eye bags is all about spreading the concealer all the way to your nose, that way you really get all of the darkness away. Using a thin makeup brush and starting at the inner corner of the eye, where circles are darkest, gently dot the concealer along the under-eye area. Repeat with the other eye.
Let the concealer sit on your skin for a few moments – the warmth of your body will soften it and make it easier to work with. Then, using your ring finger, tap the concealer gently into the skin to blend.
I use this trick when I’ve had a really bad night of sleep, and then I buff away all of the darkness. It makes me look good and wide awake!
When you are actually working on learning tricks to hide dark circles and under-eye bags, your highlighter will be handy.
Highlighting all of the features of your face, especially under your eyes, is a great way to get rid of those dark circles.
Proper highlighting makes your eyes appear very beautiful.
The red lipstick concealing trick
Sounds weird to put bright red-orange lipstick under your eyes?! Maybe. But this is an excellent trick. Bright red works on my skin tone, neutralising darkness and minimising the appearance of circles – because I have green undertones under my eyes.
If you have similar colouring, I recommend using MAC in Ruby Woo. If you don’t have this product, check this limited offerto get some free samples of it. This product is excellent, and I am sure that you will be excellent for your dark circle.
After applying the lipstick under your eyes take your concealer and cover the red layer completely, using a beauty blender or sponge to blend the colour.
After all, dust your face with a finishing powder (preferably one that is close to your natural skin tone) to allow for seamless and universal coverage on the face.
I hope this helps you solve the battle with your dark circles and under-eye bags! I realise this is a process, but I swear by this method when I need some heavy duty coverage.
