Anyone else's face frozen? I don't know about you but I hate the effects the harsh wind has on my face in the winter! Especially here in the GTA! I have made it a point to carry a tube of blistex in my pocket no matter where I am. I have it on my night stand, in every bathroom in my house, the glove compartment of my car and in every purse. It is so important to keep those babies nice and healthy!
TIPS for winter months:
*Moisturize your face right after your shower and then again before you apply your makeup! *Make sure to use a weekly facial kit that will allow you to exfoliate your skin. The harsh winds and the strong rays of the sun can really do a number on your young looking skin in the winter! *When brushing your teeth try brushing your lips with your tooth brush to exfoliate them, then put on your lip balm right after!
This past weekend, before heading out for a dinner party, I went out for a walk with my Dog Jackson. I knew Jackson would be home alone for a good few hours and I wanted to get him nice and tired so he wouldn't miss us as much. Well, of course the only time I could take him out was right before we had to leave, and my hair and makeup were already perfect! So I quickly put on my crossover hat, scarf and sunglasses (pitch black @ 6pm).
The black tears started rolling and I was sure I would have to redo my face. I don't know about you but I hate waterproof mascara! I honestly feel like it damages my lashes. So if you are worried about those icy tears we all get when the cold wind blows, try to use a primer under your eye before your concealer. This will allow you to wipe off the mascara if it starts to run without much force.
Thankfully, because of the primer I was able to just wipe it off and freshen my face up with some powder and a little bronzer to off set the red cheeks!
Lesson learned...don't wait for the last moment to give your pooch some attention!
TIP:
*When applying anything to your eye area with your fingers ALWAYS use your ring finger. Your ring fingers allows you to control movement without applying too much force to the eye area.
Keep being massive,
Sonya
