WIND BURN WARNINGS!!!

Last week I walked from Union station in Toronto to Queen's park and man did I ever get some wind burn across my face! Sometimes you think you have taken all the precautions and then mother nature decided to throw you a hard ball! So, I get to where I am going and people are staring and I could not figure out why...so I pull out my trusty mirror in my purse and there it is...a huge red wind burned face!! As a makeup artist I try to ensure my face is always picture ready as I am basically my own billboard..so I quickly ran to the bathroom to attack this problem! Has this happened to you?

I quickly took out my concealer and touched up my face then re powdered it with my mineral makeup and put on a darker powder just to offset the redness! Then I outlined my eyes again to try to take the attention from my forehead and reapplied my lips to take the attention from my wind burned chin!

All in all I ended up looking as fresh as a daisy! hahah

As our winter comes to an end we are all feeling the effects of the dry air and as a result, our cracked skin. Have you tried a mask this winter? Throw on some Sex and the City season's and a mud mask and you will see a difference!

Try my favourite mask!! Honey and Avocado!!

You just need: 1/4 cup of honey (natural unsweetened) and a 1/2 an Avocado. Mash up the Avocado and mix in the honey! This helps with my dry sink all of the time!!! Mix it until you have a texture you like and apply to your face...leave it for about 10-15 mins and then wash off with a warm cloth. Apply your normal SPF moisturizer ..you will see and feel a difference for sure!
