Well, it's been a while since I blogged. I've been very busy with lots going on. First off, my husband and I welcomed our first child! Our daughter Addisyn Jarchow was born on November 30th 2010 and we couldn't be happier (or more exhausted)

As I have been running around the house learning to be the best Mommy I can be I have fallen behind when it comes to keeping up to beauty trends! In fairness they change every season!

The wedding season is approaching us!!! Massive Makeup has 5 weedings booked so far  for this upcoming summer! Very exciting!

Most of the brides have asked me to come to the consultation on the day of their bachelorette or bridal showers so they can test it out!

Its a great idea and I can always 'sexy' it up if you want a more dramatic look for your night out with the girls!

Last week I walked from Union station in Toronto to Queen's park and man did I ever get some wind burn across my face! Sometimes you think you have taken all the precautions and then mother nature decided to throw you a hard ball! So, I get to where I am going and people are staring and I could not figure out why...so I pull out my trusty mirror in my purse and there it is...a huge red wind burned face!! As a makeup artist I try to ensure my face is always picture ready as I am basically my own billboard..so I quickly ran to the bathroom to attack this problem!

Ok, I know I am not the only one out there who tries to avoid lip gloss when my hair is down and its windy out! I have actually found a lip gloss that is anti-sticky!! Of course it isn't perfect and your hair kind of sticks, but it is at the very least 75% better then other lip glosses!!! I am so happy with this product! The best part is that it is also a Canadian based company, and the lip gloss is made right here in Toronto! Have I given enough hints yet? do you know who I am talking about?

Where do the weeks go?! This was quite the week for Massive makeup. Hits on the site have picked up and I have been responding to numerous brides to be! I love weddings! I love being a part of weddings and I think it is such a beautiful thing! Being part of someone's special day. What else could you ask for in a talent? I am seriously contemplating posting my wedding video on the site. Just to give you a peak at how wonderful my day was!

To all those pretty faces!

Make sure you are taking every step in the makeup process. No cheaters here! I know it is so easy to just throw on the mascara and go. If that's what you like then that's what you like. However, if you are going to go for gold and fully set that face..then make sure you are taking all of the steps to get that look or else it's all a waste!

1) Wash: make sure you are using a face wash that is soft on your skin! ( the most beautiful people I know don't even wash their face)

Anyone else's face frozen? I don't know about you but I hate the effects the harsh wind has on my face in the winter! Especially here in the GTA! I have made it a point to carry a tube of blistex in my pocket no matter where I am. I have it on my night stand, in every bathroom in my house, the glove compartment of my car and in every purse. It is so important to keep those babies nice and healthy!

TIPS for winter months:

*Moisturize your face right after your shower and then again before you apply your makeup!
